YOUR JOURNEY…DO YOU KNOW THE STEPS?
JOURNEY; n. a traveling from one place to another, usually taking a rather long time. Let’s take a look at the last part of this definition; “usually taking a rather long time”. WOW. To me, that’s a heavy statement! Usually taking a rather long time, to me, means a lot of commitment, a lot of effort, and a LOT of perseverance in times of failure. To you, what does the word “failure” mean? Is it a one time affair? Does it mean that you hit a wall, and that’s it? Journey is now done??? NO! Not even close! Everything we do, there is some kind of failure; we just need…

FAMILY & FRIENDS…
When was the last time that you felt the euphoria that you feel after a great workout, or a great event that you couldn’t get out of your head? Something that makes your heart explode, like it’s too much for you inside? Something that just wants to burst out? Like taking a steroid? By the way, I HATE steroids, but sometimes, medically, you must take them, so that’s why I mentioned them here. After both of my surgeries, I was given steroids, to keep my “activity” going, after coming off the “other” meds that I had to take, while I was in the hospital. I’ll tell you what, the steroids…

HOPE…
HOPE: n/ 1) the feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out. 2) a person or thing in which expectations are centered. What is unique about this first definition? Does it define your feeling of “hope”? Or does it define your definition of “can”? Can would go either way, I think the word “can”, in this meaning of the word “hope”, is the key word; it doesn’t mean “will”. The communication of “will” means that you have to do something, to make that hope come true. That’s something that I try to put out there every day. We all have hope, as we should,…

DRIVE…
Question; who sang this song, and when? DRIVE: v. / to strive vigorously towards a goal or objective. We all have had some sort of “drive’ in us, but how much? It seems like a question that would have a simple answer, but sometimes there’s a catch. We have all had a dream, which we should still have, by the way, but we should also be able to recognize if our little journey of life changes that dream. By the way, that’s o.k. Think about that dream, really put some thought into it, and then think about how much “drive” you put into it, let’s just call it effort. It…

YOU’RE MY SUNDAY!
Who sang this song? Do you have a Sunday? Do you have any day? Do you OWN any day? A “yes” would a fine answer to all of these, but I’ll take a yes to any one of these. You can, and should, own a day; preferably every day. I know, I know, weekends are “lazy” days, “relaxing” days, days to unwind. One question, though; does that mean that we had a party-hardy on Friday or Saturday night? That’s fine, by the way, just don’t let the hangover lead you into your day. If you want to “relax”, do it because that’s how you want your day to be; your…

WOW = MOM…upside down/in and out
Isn’t that beautiful/ Turn Mom upside down and it’s it just one simple word, “WOW”. Wow: n. “an extraordinary success. Also: excitement, interest, and great pleasure”. This past weekend, we had a surprise party for my mother, who turned 80. When I say surprise party, it was a week before her REAL birthday, (7/03), but my brother’s wife ( Ginna ) had her birthday on the June 28, and said she really wanted to have dinner with my Mom/Dad for her birthday. Sooooo, as they were having dinner, we finished up the decorations for her party, and they came home< (7:30ish), and SURPRISE! It was great, because we had relatives…

HAPPY FATHERS DAY…to everyone
This would be HAPPY FATHERS DAY, to everyone involved. Certainly I was thinking of my father as I started to write, but there’s a lot of fathers out there, that I don’t know, that deserves this, also. I knew that I should write SOMETHING, but the words weren’t coming. I would sit there, type and delete, type and delete, on and on…. So I said I’ve got to get out of the office, go outside, and just sit there, and regroup. As I was sitting there, getting completely relaxed, it hit me: if my Dad was sitting here with me, we would both be sitting in that same spot, probably…

WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD! (artist and /or composer, anyone?)
Great day today, isn’t it? What day isn’t? Tell you what, if ANYONE can tell me what day isn’t great, I’ll have to get into a rebuttal with them. Here’s what I say today about that; this morning, I had a schedule change, which sometimes I question, when it happens at the last minute. Here’s what I figured out; that it isn’t the schedule change that engages the “I question” mentioned above, it’s the routine that gets disrupted. I think that we all know that theme; routine. I think it’s a cue that we must go forward, on our routine, but I also think that change is the biggest hurdle…

SMILE…it’s a beautiful thing
SMILE: v. to assume a facial expression indicating pleasure, favor, or amusement. To regard with favor. To express a smile, a smile approval. It’s a beautiful thing. All and/or any of these definitions can count. I rate smiles to a thing called beauty. It is, to me. Think about it; when you’re walking down the street, through the parking lot, walking through a doorway, or just sitting in your yard, and someone smiles and says “good morning”, or even “hello”, I’ll bet my pocket full money, (not much, by the way), that you WILL smile back, and respond. Again, that’s a beautiful thing. What could be more natural, and effortless? …

THE RIDE OF YOUR LIFE…WHO KNEW?
The symmetry was breath taking. Round curves, a body which comments can’t describe, and her color, OMG!!! I just want to close my eyes, and let my hands caress those…Wait, wait, wait; what’s going through that noggin of yours? Oh, I get it… and I’ll let you know something, “it” has 4 wheels. It really is a site to behold; black on black and the sound! Again, OMG!!! Lamborghini; can somebody PLEASE give the word that should be used, besides GORGEOUS. Lamborghini. Couldn’t resist, had to have it; the ride sold me. A couple of people laid that wonderful pitch on me. Actually, it was a team of six, and…
