FAST & FURIOUS…
Anybody do a workout in less than 30 minutes? You can, and should. Let’s go back to the old way of thinking, all workouts should be at least 2 hrs; anything less is a waste of time. That’s what we all assumed, and did our best to achieve that. It was good, and by good I mean it did it’s job, but at what price? Shoulders torn up, trying to outdo each other, (training partners). TODAY IS YOUR NEW YEARS…
It’s mid-November. Two more weeks, it’s December, end of the year. Since next week is “black Friday”, let’s talk holidays, as in “what’s your new years fitness plan?”. I mean, it’s not too early, is it? I have an idea, why wait until the new year? Let’s start tomorrow! Why not? If you start now, that will help you (kind of!) watch your diet through the holidays. HOW’S YOUR BACK…
How was everyone’s week? Everybody feel good; or did that back hurt when you got up, or shoulder, or head? Everybody has a hurt at some point, but to what extent? That is a very good question, Scott. (oh, I forgot, I’m Scott!). There’s a reason that I ask that. I had a great week. UCLA had their fundraising gala this past Thursday; I’m on the gala committee and we raised over $3,000,000.00. SO, TAKE A BREAK…
By golly, it’s been a little while since I’ve put some words here! I guess everyone has a story to tell about tardiness, but I really don’t. Probably a dozen times, I’ve put myself in my schedule book to write, but as you can see, it didn’t happen. Who feels good today? I mean, really good. You know, that’s a really a tough question. Does feeling good mean waking up, and saying “This is the best I’ve felt since…”, or does it take a little sumthin’, sumthin’, maybe like a little workout? I really don’t know where these titles come from; now I have to follow up with words! Now, we, (or pretty much most all) of us know how old I am; 54 next week. THE MORNING POST…(or exercise!)
This summer is HOT! Anybody remember last sumer? We had 2 weeks, maybe 3. It was all foggy, here in Playa. Another story in the valley, I mean it’s always hot in the valley. I love the fact that people say that they love the valley, that it’s really NOT that hot. 105, 106, 107; that’s hot. Any way you put it, that’s hot. My parents were telling me that in Las Vegas, 111-113. It’s DRY, though. I don’t care if it’s dry , humid, whatever, anything that hits 3 digits, too much for me. Visiting IS Fun…and so are other things!
I can’t believe it’s been over a month since I last wrote. I apologize, time just flies. My parents visited for about 5 days; it was a terrific time. What is amazing, is that they don’t need to be entertained, in any way. They just want to be relaxed at all times; and that’s what they get! There’s certain people that they want to see; and there’s a good chance we know where (the bar, or restaurent) where those people would be found, and we would find them most of the time. It was fun. A DAY IN THE LIFE…
How do you start a blog about friends? How about “take another step”, or “take each day, one at a time”, or”celebrate each moment, every day”. I guess we could go on and on, as far as realizing the importance of each moment of every day. Every body has their own experience to express. I just did. CATCHIN’ YOUR DREAM….
Do you ever think about your dreams? Do you remember your dreams? I never really did, until recently. My sleep is going way overboard, but now I do remember my dreams; and some of them are WAY out there. With that info, some of them are right in there with rest the my life. Let’s JUICE!!!!
Ok, who juiced this morning? I think everyone knows that I did. Carrots, apple, broccoli, ginger, beets, kale, lemon, orange; I think that’s pretty much it. Top that with oatmeal, (a six-grain oatmeal), which has bananas, blueberries, and cinnamon. I love my breakfast. That’s every day. I hate to get full on that, it’s so good. Takes 15-20 minutes to make; if you haven’t noticed, I like to make things in a hurry, because I WILL then , go through the effort to make something healthy, and VERY tasty.
