WHO WANTS TO LIVE IN THE PAST; FOR A MOMENT…
Let’s see, do we want to live in the past for the pleasant times that we had, or do we want to make some sort of a change because the present that doesn’t contribute so much to our future? Maybe a good question, or is it just a cop out? Uhmmm…. Listen, we ALL had some great times in our lives, times that we’ll never want to replace, and why should we? Sometimes, it takes the right person, with the same background, to really spark up the past; and that’s when you say, ” Top THAT”! Sometimes it would be hard to top THAT, but look where it takes you, or leads…

COMING OFF STEROIDS, NOW THAT’S A TRIP…
I suppose that a lot of people, at some point, have to take, or stay on steroids for awhile; and I bet that everyone has their own story on when they are able to come off. Woop-tee-do, what the body tells you is happening, is happening, plus some. A lot of what I was feeling the first week, the Dr.’s called it right; these guys know their stuff, and I ‘m glad they do, and call it out. Let’s drop back a little bit, and I’ll recap what was happening as I was on Dexamethasone and Famotidine, (these are the steroids, with a sedetive to help them along!), along with the anti-seizure…

DO I HAVE THE GREAT FRIENDS, OR THE GREATEST FRIENDS…HUMMM
I’ve often thought of every friend that has come along my way, in one way or another. It’s amazing how many there are, and I’m not even thinking of numbers; it’s all about the people, and their hearts and what they have inside their bones. You don’t know how many times I just shake my half-brain head, and acknowledge how lucky I am; because I JUST am. So many things have come my way, from other people giving, and many times me not knowing what was going on, and by the way, still happening in some ways. Maybe I’ll go out on a limb, and actually try to name everyone…

HOW MUCH FASTER CAN THIS HEART BEAT!!!
WOW! AGAIN, WOW! What a life. I’m telling you, we ALL can say that, and should, but do we? That’s the point here; I think that we all feel this at some point, recognize it and enjoy! I just had my folks visit for a week. Guess what we did? Absolutely nothing, but relax. I think they enjoyed it as much as I did, because every time that I took a nap, ( as we mentioned before, I take a few a day, since I don’t sleep due to these steroids that I have to keep taking, but my last week is right now, by the way!), they did a a nap,…

ALWAYS KEEP ON, PUSH FORWARD….
I slept! Let me say THAT again, I slept! What a feeling that is, to actually wake up, and feel pretty good! Woop-to-do!! For what ever you’ve read, you’ll notice that I’ve been on these wonderful steroids for the inflamation from radiation for about 3 weeks now, another week to go as we taper down the dosages, but the side effect on this, you DON’T sleep. An hour or two, wake up my half-mind starts to race,( and for me, what does does THAT mean?), so you stay up, write, read, whatever; I guess if I think about it, maybe it’s really not SO bad! Sure makes an interesting day/night combo that…

Have Some Juicesssss….
Come on now, you gotta like juice, of some sort. It could be something very simple, orange, cranberry, grapefruit; but it could get deep, here. Most people like to buy a processed juice at the store, why not juice you’re own thing, make it exactly what your taste is? I prefer to juice everything, I have for years. It’s addicting. You can make some stuff with a juicer that coast less than $100.00, and that’s a deal over time, because you’re paying that money out when you buy a product, and why do that; put that money in your body! Why would I do a blog on juice? Because it’s GREAT for…

Ster-oiiiiids; What A Catch
Big word, this steroid word. We all hear about it, and “them”, and sometimes just take it and “them” for granted, and not even think about what they they might do to our body. We’re told to by our doctors sometimes, and we just do. Other times, and who knows what this reason might be, people elect to inject, or swallow, or rub or whatever might be in the back of their mind. Pretty rough stuff. As you probably read, I had an unbelievable trip to Kauai, Hawaii. So, so lucky that I would do again in let’s say, 1/2 a second. Pretty well exhausted myself, ( and by golly,…

Hawaii-5-Ohhhhh
So a little time goes by, again… since I last wrote, it’ s amazing how that happens, with all of us, all of the time. Time goes by, life goes on, and things happens; I’m a pretty lucky guy, I had a friend/client who was getting married in Kauai, and needed someone to film their little wedding. Who am I to say anything but YES!! It was so wonderful, and beautiful, and wet! That island is the wettest place on this earth in some places, almost 500 inches of rain per year in the center of the island; is that almost 1 1/2 inches per day?? Boy was it beautiful, though. …

TIME FLIES BY….
Time moves by fast, doesn’t it? Look at this, end of Janurary, 2010, oooops, I mean 2011. Happened again. It is funny, how may times that happens to me. I’m always confusing time; I’m still wondering where the last 30 years have gone. Those 30 years must have been stored in the menengioma that was removed; which tumor, (the first or the second), I really don’t know. For those that might not know me, I moved to Los Angeles in May, 1981, right after college. OOOOps, did I just give my age away? Awwww, what the heck, doesn’t matter. So here it is, I’m 21-22 years old when I moved; to…

How Lucky Am I….
I suppose that we all ask that question, some poeple would ask a lot more than others; I would be among that group. Finding out that I have had not one, but two meningiomas (brain tumors) that have had to be removed NOW; gone through a seven week time period of radition; spent a LOT of hospital time atUCLA , and more medical time in the facility there; periods of time where my physical being was exhausted, unbalanced, and weak….I guess that we could go on and on about this, but why. I have SO much to be thankful for, and every day I do give thanks for “How Lucky Am I”. I mean, how…
